With Carbosys CH4, Endress+Hauser offers a system that monitors methane gas emissions according to the Clean Development Mechanism. The first Carbosys systems have been installed successfully in CDM projects in a palm oil mill in Thailand and in a biogas plant in Sumatra.

The Clean Development Mechanism demands that methane has to be measured according to good manufacturing practices (GMP) with documentation traceable to national and international standards. The standardized solution comes as a complete application package with all necessary measuring devices. The methane measurement is compensated by temperature, pressure and humidity.
A prerequisite for being certified according to CDM is an extremely reliable and manipulation-free measurement of methane. Therefore the data manager Memograph M is the heart of the system.

Carbosys CH4 guarantees highest operational safety. It is equipped with air condition, redundant gas detectors and purge air flow control to avoid hazardous situations in the cabinet.
Safe data concept
Data are protected from loss or manipulation by the data manager Memograph M, which has been designed to meet the highest safety standards. It serves as reliable and manipulation-free calculator, event logger and counter for methane in volume or mass. The measured values can be transfered via ethernet, internet or GSM modem.
Additional safety is provided by uninterruptible power supply and a telealarm system so that undesired operating states or events can be communicated to the person in charge via SMS or e-mail.
